IT IS WINDY RIGHT?

Well today was DAY 2 of University and after the daunting task of Cognitive Science on Monday, today’s lecture was certainly a bit more inclined to my previous studies and meeting everyone once again was good.

After a two hour session in the lecture room, that was then followed by a complimentary lunch, which included, fresh Salmon, salad, pork, chicken, cous-cous, brie and breads with biscuits, mushrooms and onions. Free drinks too! So I ate well this afternoon!

I have just recieved 2 documents to read before classes tomorrow too, so already it feels like half way through term rather than the first week!!!

I have been invited out with the class tonight for a couple of beers tonight, but i’ve just seen that I will have to get through 30 pages of reading this evening, with a vague idea of the subject matter too! So we shall see!

No pictures today sadly, my camera had an accident yesterday and may be out of action for a while!

Hope everyone is well, keep checking for more updates! Andrew X

Oh and if you are wondering about the title of this post, it’s down to the endless wind i’ve encountered so far! It’s so, so windy here!!

A DAY IN THE SUN, HOT HOT HOT!!!

Wow now that was a hot day! Didn’t expect that in Copenhagen, but finally i’m getting my summer sunshine and all I needed to do was leave the UK and go to …. Scandanavia… hm!

So we ventured into the city, it was busy, hot and very beautiful. Incredible buildings and architecture, old and new!

Saw the royal palace, opera house, restuarants and boats, everything I had seen on toursist websites about the city, I saw today first hand! Highly recommend it!

I won’t ramble on too much, but i also hope you enjoyed my dabble into football transfer commentary earlier! haha!

HAPPY TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY! It’s sunny in Copenhagen!

For you all football and sporting lovers out there, excited? Today marks the last day of transfer business until January 1st 2010!

So let’s hope for some last minute intruiging movers! So what’s the talk around the grounds?

Well who would want to rule out the mighty… Notts County! Never thought i’d be saying that! After the signing of England international Sol Campbell and young talented Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who would rule out one more big move for the Sven revolution in Nottingham!

Tottenham are usually big movers in the transfer market and with injury to Modric, Harry might just be inclined to dip into the coffers on this fine first day in September!

Portsmouth seem to be signing as many players as possible, so more today surely? Hasn’t Paul Hart ever heard the saying, quality over quantity?

For any West Ham fans waking up this morning still hanging onto any hopes of signing former Chelsea and Icelandic striker Eider Gudjohnsen, Barcelona sold him last night to Monaco for about £1.8m (The transfer window in Spain closed on Aug 31st).

David James…. Stoke/Sunderland/Tottenham? Maybe any of the other 16 Premier League clubs? This is being posted by a Spurs fan…stay on the South coast today, please!

Stoke yesterday confirmed the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Diego Arismendi. “It’s a dream come true to play in the Premier League,” Arismendi told the Stoke website.

SO I’LL BE UPDATING THIS AS NEW STORIES AND TRANSFERS GO THROUGH TODAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, COCA COLA CHAMPIONSHIP, LEAGE ONE, LEAGUE TWO AND MAYBE SOME BLUE SQUARE PREMIER LEAGUE MOVERS! Okay so how about Cardiff City’s Joe Ledley? Apparently there was talk of a new contract offered from the Bluebirds but just like the last few transfer windows he will of course be subject of speculation from the newly promoted Premier League teams and possible relegation candidates! Stay at Cardiff, it’s getting boring already!

Portsmouth the biggest movers this week have signed 6 players in the last few days since the takeover. Today they are being linked with Bejani, Zenden, Zaki to just name a few! Maybe quantity will prevail?

Franck Ribery. Will he be the BIG mover today from Bayern Munich? Chelsea are rumoured to be interested … £40 million and the rest apparently!

Manchester City striker Benjani is being linked with a club record transfer to Notts County in Leauge Two today! Sven believes he would like the challenge and be the man to fire County into League One next season. Keep an eye on that one, surely he’ll stay in the Premier League though???

SHOCK NEWS!!! Well not really… Portsmouth are close to singing 25-year-old midfielder Hassan Yebda (????) on loan for the rest of the season from Benfica.

News from Swansea City is that they have signed Trinidad defender Radanfah Abu Bakr on a 3 month contract.

So it looks like predictions were right for one of those clubs that never lets us down on transfer deadline day and it’s of course Tottenham Hotspur, with Harry Redknapp seemingly on the verge of signing Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth for a very nice price!

Tottenham’s Welsh full back Gareth Bale … maybe one to watch today!

Big news on the managerial front … Roma coach Spalletti has quit the job as boss after just two Serie A matches!

Portsmouth secure the signing of former Chelsea and Manchester City defender Tal Ben Haim.

Godmorgen World!
