I’ve just finished writing up all my notes and organising a file full of articles! Not bad eh?

I also want to say a big thank you to those that won’t be named for the excellent and generous sending of WISPA GOLDS to Denmark! It’s really appreciated!

‘DARN’ GOOD

Really late post from me tonight! It’s 2am my time!

Just finished watching ‘THE DAMNED UNITED’ starring Michael Sheen (Welsh actor incase you didn’t know!)

Great film, good acting from Sheen and Timothy Spall …. okay i’m not trying to write a film review at this hour, but just saying, if you like a good Brit film or football based film this is one for you!

Anyway i’m heading off for a good sleep now and i’ll be back on here over the weekend!

Night all!

THE BIG ‘WISPA GOLD’ APPEAL

d3475c03-25f2-4378-9dc4-6fdec5f586dfSo I hear the WISPA GOLD is back in the UK! None of you have come forward willing to send me one or two? You know I do enjoy a good WISPA!

So i’m launching THE BIG ‘WISPA GOLD’ APPEAL. If you’re heading to the shops and you’re feeling kind, maybe missing me a bit, wondering how the UK is a little bit emptier, why not send a WISPA GOLD to Denmark and make a Welsh man very happy over his morning coffee!

So if you want to send a WISPA GOLD to me, please send a comment and I shall give you my address to post it to!

Okay update from THURSDAY 17TH SEPT

– FOUND A SHOP THAT SELLS ONLY UK FOOD PRODUCTS! WALKERS CRISPS, MARMITE, CADBURYS, KELLOGS AND SO ON!…

– ENJOYED A DIME MCFLURRY (I DON’T LIKE MCDONALDS NORMALLY BUT HAD TO TRY THIS)

Do These Streets Hold My Inspiration?

Okay just dropping in quickly! So hej!

I’m sitting at the apartment window, church bells ringing, a nice breeze blowing in through the window on yet another hot Copenhagen day!

I’ve got rid of some boxes used for transporting stuff over here (at last) and bought a small oven for our kitchen … COMPLETE!

Right as I type this sentence the sun has shone in over the neighbouring buildings and lit up the computer and desk … does it sound as picturesque as it’s meant to be??

I’ve just got back here in the last 10 minutes. I needed a walk through some new streets, needed some inspiration or anything to give me a kick start! I want to do something really cool you know? I’m going to get back on this blog before I sleep later and say that i’ve at least started something ‘really cool’ ….

Copenhagen (Upon-Sea), Dragør and a Huge Carlsberg!

Okay, so first of all, sorry about the delay in a new post here. With moving apartment and busy social lifes for us in Copenhagen, sometimes ‘FRESH IN DK’ will be neglected! But alas, we start a fresh week with a brand new post!

So what’s been happening?

Well i’ve put up some photos from yesterday (SUNDAY) where we took a car out to a place called AMAGER STRANDPARK, a man made island I believe, that is home to a beach, wind surfing, diving and a really nice place to take a walk next to the sea! Check out the photographs here…

DSC_0712You may notice the bridge that connects Denmark to Sweden in the background! Also the divers in the water!

Hope you like those photos! The landscape is still so new to me too, so I love nerdy things like that bridge connecting the two countries haha!

So after this, we took a drive around the coast to a place called Dragør. This is a small fishing village, very Cornwall-esque in England in various ways! We sat at a nice restaurant right on the water front and enjoyed some good local food and an extremely large Carlsberg! I think it was 0.8, just under 1 litre! Wow! That really did last me the whole meal, along with two ‘shots’ of Aquavit from Denmark! Great day, was alot of fun and was really good to get outside of the city and see the coast and surrounding villages/towns! Here are some photos from this fishing village…

Hope your enjoying the post this far, keep looking this week for more from me and in my next mission … to find my very own Copenhagen BIKE!! X

BIKES AND NOW A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH THE DK SCOOTERS!

Okay so if you haven’t been to Copenhagen, let me tell you, this is a bike city and they love it like that! I think it’s great and I hope to invest in one and become more in touch with the city by owning my own bike!

So yes, they have their own lanes in the roads too, which again is great! They go FAST though! So i’m doing my routine walk to university today and bikes fly past the pedestrian footpath such as the cars would! Today though, while readying myself to cross, 2 loud, FAST electric bike scooters zoom into the bike lane and send me a few steps back in alarm!

Okay so I assume that bicycles, motor bikes and electric scooters have their own lane! So imagine back in the UK, being a busy pedestrian readying yourself to cross not 1, but 2 busy lanes of various traffic!! It’s a bit strange at first! Okay my rambling over now and moving on to the day so far….

It’s a good day for walking anyway, nice sunshine and little wind ; )

Godnatt Copenhagen!

Well it’s windy outside (again), you should hear it!

Today we dined and had some good food out and spent a couple of hours at university! Started job hunting today too! Ate Swedish chocolate and had lots of crisps haha!

Tomorrow i’ll be sorting out some errands and getting my Danish sim card sorted too along with a party at university for all international students! I’ll keep you updated!

Time to hit the bed! Godnatt everyone, until tomorrow! X

(Here is a photograph of ‘TIVOLI’ entrance, a park with rides and entertainment, a mini Disney land in the middle of the city! 10 min walk from our apartment!!)
